A middle of the 19th century toleware shaped tray.
The tray is decorated with a scene of exotic birds around a fountain with flowers and foliage.
The tray edge is decorated with flowers and scrolling acanthus in gilt.
The tray has a rolled edge and is black on the reverse.
The tray is in very good condition, the black decoration of the back is a little scratched. (Circa 1840)
