Talbert Style Arts & Crafts Wardrobe

A late 19th century Arts & Crafts ash wardrobe in the style of Bruce Talbert.

The wardrobe has a single door with a central mirror that has a Gothic shaped frame decorated with walnut, rosewood and line inlays.

The inner edge of the frame is chamfered and has a large gilt brass keyhole escutcheon and handle.

The body of the wardrobe has chamfered pillars to the sides that are decorated with geometric inlays.

The base has a large drawer that is ash wood lined and decorated with inlays to the corners and has gilt brass drop handles.

The cornice has a castellated top with a walnut herringbone veneer to the frieze and more geometric inlays.

This unusual ash wardrobe is very good quality and in good condition, the price include some minor repairs to the inlays and chips to the frame.

The wardrobe breaks down into three parts for transport and the door can also be removed. (Circa 1890)
