Unusual George II Collector's Cabinet

A middle of the 18th century George II mahogany collector's cabinet.

The cabinet has a single door with a fielded panel in the centre and a working lock and key.

The interior is fitted out with 19 mahogany fronted and oak lined drawers each numbered and with gilt brass knobs.

Some of the slim single drawers have been converted in the 18th/19th century into double depth drawers.

The cabinet stands on shaped bracket feet and is a very good original colour.

We have a large collection of later made ply wood holding trays that have been constructed to sit in the drawers to hold coins. (Circa 1750)
