Victorian Mahogany Apothecary Box

A middle of the 19th century mahogany apothecary box.

The box has a hinged lid and a drawer in the base that has a locking pin.

The top contains ten assorted size glass bottles all with paper labels put on by Chemists, some of the Chemist are from Kensington, South Kensington, Mayfair and Rainham.

The drawer contains compartments holding a mortar and pestle, balance scales and weights and several more glass bottles and jars, some stored under the lift out tray that holds the balance.

The box is in good condition and has a lock and key. (Circa 1850)
