An early 19th century Victorian jewellery box.

The box is veneered with birds eye maple and is cross banded with Karelian or Masiur birch (see 'Woods of British Furniture Making' by Adam Bowett pages 32 & 153) and ebony line inlay.

The box stands on gilded brass ball feet and has a working lock and key.

The box is in very good condition, the interior has been re-lined. (Circa 1840)
