An early Victorian oak luggage stand with a clothes/towel rack combined.
The stand has a protruding front made from two turned supports and a long flat front panel held by two half round bosses that has a foot shape at each end.
The back has two turned uprights with finials at the top, a square cross rail in the middle and a round cross rail at the top.
The stand is original and does show a lightening of the polish on the top rail where a damp towel may have been draped. (Circa 1850)
