Victorian "Robbie Burns" Grandfather Clock

A Scottish Victorian mahogany grandfather clock.

The clock has an eight day striking movement, the dial is signed 'M S Jamieson Kilmarnock' and is painted with scenes of the four nations of the United Kingdom in the corners and "Burns at Plough" to the top.

The mahogany case has a bow fronted door flanked by a pair of half round pillars and bow cross panels above and below.

The hood has a swan neck pediment and pillars with a hinged glazed door covering the dial, and a base that has a recessed panel with a moulded bead frame and shaped feet.

The clock is in very good working condition and the painted dial is in the best condition I have ever seen with no wear or fading.

The clock is in full working order and comes with a 12 month guarantee provided by Robert Taylor & Son. (Circa 1860)
