A late 19th century Victorian beech wood Milliner's block.
The hat block is constructed from a turned shaped piece of beech that is split in half and has an adjustment metal thread to make it larger or smaller.
The block is mounted on an oblong base and would be used to make hats or stretch them.
The Milliner's block is in good original condition. (Circa 1880)
