William IV Walnut Games Table

An early 19th century William IV walnut and burr walnut veneered games table.

The table has a game board top that is burr walnut cross banded with the squares made from rosewood and karelian birch.

The table has a slim drawer beneath the top that has an ogee shaped profile to the front which is continued around all sides.

The drawer is mahogany lined and has a lock and key pull.

The table has a platform base that is triangular in shape with cut corners and is raised on three flat bun feet.

The column support is tapering and hexagonal with a collar where the column meets the base.

The table is in good original condition with a couple of minor chips to the drawer front ends.

Inside the drawer is an early 20th century chess set and a draughts set.

The key pull does not work the lock. (Circa 1835)
